or hold dear. However you should be cognizant of the fact that the
adcom wants to know your greatest achievement in a career that is
spanning 15-20 years. The best way to go about this essay is to start
with a deep introspection on all your activities, accomplishments,
lessons learnt in the last two decades or so.

- For each activity identify –
The challenges that existed, How you overcame those challenges and
finally what difference did it create to you - your company or the
society in general (Impact)
- Learning’s that you carried
from this experience/accomplishment; How has it helped transform you
as a person (remember we are talking about your #1 achievement in life
and we are pretty sure it would be a major source of strength or
inspiration for your other activities)
- Please try to articulate
your success if possible in quantitative terms especially when listing a
professional accomplishment. For e.g. increased sales
by 60%, a first in the 20 year history of the department or my weekend
schools to illiterate day laborers educated 40 youth in a span of 1
year and helped 8 youth complete their matriculation.
